WHY WE NEED A LEARNING PLATFORM FOR WOMEN IN MUSIC
The music industry can be challenging for women, with various obstacles that impact their careers, opportunities, and well-being. Here are 3 of the top 10 key pain points that many women in the music industry face:
Gender Bias and Stereotypes: Women often encounter gender-based assumptions about their capabilities and roles, particularly in technical and leadership positions like production, engineering, or management.
Lack of Representation and Role Models: There are fewer women in high-visibility positions, which limits mentorship opportunities and makes it challenging for women to envision and navigate paths to success.
Pay Inequality: Women frequently earn less than men for comparable roles and contributions. This disparity is even more pronounced for women of color in the industry.
